Best Books I Read in March 2025

--

Image compiled using Canva

Hello, book friends, and a very happy (almost) April to you! March was super busy and went by in a flash for me, between birthday plans and generally being busy with other social stuff. As a result, I didn’t get a lot of reading done. So, this is going to be a bit more of a general monthly recap post than usual, since it’s hard to rank two books in a best books format.

We’re also officially through the first quarter of the year, so now is a great time to check out some stats and other things anyway. So, let’s dig into the best books of March 2025, then check in on the reading year so far.

(Full disclosure: This post uses Bookshop.org affiliate links, which throw a little support my way if you choose to purchase. Bookshop also supports local independent bookstores!)

Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis

This Romantasy is one of my favorite reads for the year so far! It took me a few tries to actually sink into it, but once I did, I was HOOKED. I absolutely loved the world Burgis created and the characters. Thrilled it’s going to be a series and can’t wait for book two! For my full thoughts on Wooing the Witch Queen, check out my review.

Roll for Love by M.K. England

You know I love a good D&D romance. So far, every one I’ve read has been a smash hit, and I’m hoping the streak of nerdy love never breaks. Roll for Love definitely delivered, with a heartwarming love story that also tackles identity and coming of age topics beautifully. I absolutely adored this one and it even made me tear up a bit towards the end. For a deeper dive on this one, check out my review.

Honorable Mentions

  • A Pirate’s Life for Tea by Rebecca Thorne. I hate to do it to you in a month with only three books, but given that it took me and my IRL book bestie several months to get through this one, it just doesn’t get Best Book…
